Our pioneer Sisters came to Holyoke in 1873 as members of another community from Kingston, Ont., Canada. In 1892, we became incorporated as the Sisters of Providence, an independent congregation in the Springfield Diocese.

Our History

Our source of happiness is found in having helped others and in knowing that some few at least are happier for having known us and are stronger for having shared our spirit.
