A beautiful property serving elders

The Hillside at Providence campus in West Springfield, Mass. is currently home to two sites—Hillside Residence and the de Paul Center. Formerly the site of the Sisters of Providence’s Brightside residential ministry serving children, the campus now serves clients at the other end of the spectrum of life—elders.

Hillside Residence is a 34-unit affordable elderly housing facility integrated with Mercy LIFE, a Program for All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Hillside Residence also has two Transitional Care Units for Mercy LIFE clients with short-term health or family respite needs. The de Paul Center—a 78,000-square-foot rental building—is home to several tenants who work in the health and social service arenas.

Redevelopment of The Hillside at Providence Campus property into a comprehensive resource for elders was the vision of Sister Kathleen Popko and the Sisters of Providence. The project included the refurbishment of the building now called the de Paul Center, and the construction of Hillside Residence.

The street address for the entire The Hillside at Providence campus is 2112 Riverdale Street in West Springfield.

Once entering the campus, Hillside Residence is located at the base of the hill at 100 Hillside Circle. The de Paul Center is located at 200 Hillside Circle.
