Ministries of hope and healing

The Sisters of Providence (SP) and Sisters of Providence Ministry Corporation (SPMC) operate several ministries that bring hope and healing to those in need: Genesis Spiritual Life and Conference Center, Mary’s Meadow, Providence Place at Ingleside,  Providence Ministries for the Needy, and The Hillside at Providence, including the de Paul Center and Hillside Residence.

Our pioneer Sisters came to Holyoke in 1873 as members of another community from Kingston, Ont., Canada. In 1892, we became incorporated as the Sisters of Providence, an independent congregation in the Springfield Diocese.

Our History

It is both an honor and a privilege to be counted among the Associates of the Sisters of Providence.
