Our pioneer Sisters came to Holyoke in 1873 as members of another community from Kingston, Ont., Canada. In 1892, we became incorporated as the Sisters of Providence, an independent congregation in the Springfield Diocese.

Our History

We are on a journey along the road all faith-filled people travel, we are taking that journey with the Sisters of Providence wherever it takes us.
