Our pioneer Sisters came to Holyoke in 1873 as members of another community from Kingston, Ont., Canada. In 1892, we became incorporated as the Sisters of Providence, an independent congregation in the Springfield Diocese.

Our History

Association with the Sisters of Providence is a daily reminder of God’s presence in my life, of his Divine Providence in all that is, and all that will be.
