Serving as liaison for Mary's Meadow

photo of sister joanSister Joan Mullen, SP, began serving as Congregational Liaison to Mary’s Meadow in early January. In this role, she assures that the new ministry continues to carry out the mission and values of the Congregation and complies with the philosophy of the “small house” concept in the delivery of care. To those ends, she facilitates communication and serves as resource/mentor to its administration and staff. She served as SP President from 2001-2009.

“I am happy,” Sister Joan said, “to be able to interface with those who are carrying out, on a daily basis, the innovative, resident-centered, skilled and rehabilitative care we envisioned when we planned and built Mary’s Meadow. Emphasis on the dignity and empowerment of both residents and staff,” she continued, “are key components of the model and are priorities I hold dear. I hope to have a part  in strengthening what has already been started and to make Mary’s Meadow the model of care as well as architecture for the future.”
