Exhibit showcases contributions of Catholic Sisters

The exhibit, mounted by the national Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR), powerfully depicts the contributions made by Catholic Sisters throughout U.S. History. Drawing historic materials from the archives of many congregations, the exhibit successfully showcases the vital roles Catholic sisters played in shaping American life, particularly in the education, health care and social services fields, from before the earliest days of the republic to today.

Women and Spirit: Catholic Sisters in America debuted last summer at Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal in the Cincinnati History Museum.

Following Cincinnati, the exhibit moved to The Women's Museum: An Institue for the Future in Dallas, Texas and then on to the Smithsonian-International Gallery in Washington, D.C. Additional venues include:
